Anoka-Ramsey Music Faculty Eric Anderson Elected President-Elect of Minnesota Music Educators Association

Anoka-Ramsey Community College Music Faculty member, Eric Anderson was recently elected to the Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA) Board of Directors and begins serving on the organization’s Executive Committee as President-Elect in May.

This is a six-year volunteer position that includes two years as President-Elect, two years as President and two years as past president.

According to its Web site, “MMEA is the premier professional association for music educators in Minnesota. Our organization serves approximately 1750 educators through programs, clinics, advocacy and leadership.”

Music Faculty Eric AndersonAnderson has served as a music educator for 36 years with experience at the primary school, middle school, high school and college level. He taught and was director of bands for the Cambridge-Isanti School for 23 years before accepting a position at Anoka-Ramsey Community College’s Cambridge Campus five years ago.

“It is a pleasure and a privilege to work with my outstanding colleagues in the Music Division at Anoka-Ramsey, and all of the faculty and staff I work with at the college’s Cambridge Campus” says Anderson.

“They are all outstanding people, and educators.“I am excited about the opportunity to work with the Board of Directors of the MMEA.This fine organization has impacted many thousands of students in its history, and I am looking forward to be involved with their continuing work.”
