The public is invited to view the outstanding works of graduating Anoka-Ramsey Community College Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) degree students at the:

8th Annual AFA Exhibition Opening Reception
Thursday, April 3, 2014
6 to 8 pm
Coon Rapids Campus Great River Gallery

The event will feature ten student artists and their work. The public is welcome and refreshments will be served!

Exhibiting Anoka-Ramsey AFA candidates include: Amber Bagley, Aaron Becker, Theresa Berry, Houa Chang, Lewis Derry, Melissa Karger, Laura Rades, Ashley Tollefson, Samatha Walstad and Vanita Watry.

Aaron Becker, one of the AFA candidates and ceramics artist, who will be transferring to the University of Minnesota this fall to pursue a bachelor in fine arts is excited to share his work with the public.

“We are excited to have people check out this compilation of our work, says Becker. “Our work has grown and changed so much through the course of the AFA program.”

As part of the opening reception, each artist will give a brief talk about their work and answer questions in a public forum.

The public and people considering the two-year associate of Fine Arts degree at Anoka-Ramsey are encouraged to attend the showing to see the exciting new work produced in the Anoka-Ramsey Fine Arts Department.
