Biomedical Core/Clinical Research Professional (Certificates)
Galina took Biomedical Technology Classes at Anoka-Ramsey to help her be more employable and have greater job security. Many students enter the program to gain additional skills to help expand their opportunities in the Medical Device Industry.
Biomedical Core - Certificate (16 credits)
This program was designed to help you get started in a career in the Medical Device Industry, and on your way to more advanced Biomedical Technology (BMED) Certificate and AS Degree Programs. The BMED Core courses are tailored to the Medical Device Industry and will complement your previous education or work experience for career transition or advancement in biomedical device and biomedical product companies. This program also transfers to the Biomedical Technology Associate in Science degree program. A successful graduate may work in manufacturing, product development and testing depending upon previous education and work experience.
Clinical Research Professional (Certificate)
Joy Benson just graduated from college and thought her pathway was going to lead her to medical school. When she didn't get into medical school, she investigated the Biomedical Technology Program and decided to pursue a career in Clinical Research.

Clinical Research Professional - Certificate (19-22 credits)
Do you already have a degree in nursing, pharmacology, or biological sciences? This program prepares you to move into positions such as clinical research monitoring, clinical research coordination, clinical data management, and regulatory affairs.
Biomedical Technology (A.S. Degree)
Der Vang was a former homemaker that went back to work and found employment as an assembler at a local medical device company in Coon Rapids, MN. She eventually discovered that her passion was to design and develop biomedical products. Der Vang entered Anoka-Ramsey's Biomedical Technology Program and graduated with an A.S. Degree in Biomedical Technologist.

Biomedical Technology - Associate in Science Degree (60 credits)
This program prepares you for entry-level positions or promotional opportunities in biomedical device and biomedical product companies and for transfer toward a bachelor’s degree at specific colleges. Successful graduates will work in manufacturing, product development and testing.
Biomedical Core (Certificate)/Biomedical Technician (Certificate)/
Biomedical Technology (A.S. Degree)
Jodi had worked at Medtronic for 10 years before she became a student in the Biomedical Technology Program. Her goal was to get into product development and she had strong referrals from her co-workers at Medtronic who had previously gone through the Biomedical Technology Program. Jodi earned both a two year degree and the stackable certificates (Biomedical Core & Biomedical Technician).
Biomedical Technician- Certificate (30-31 credits)
This program prepares you for an entry-level position, or if you have previous education or work experience for career transition or advancement in biomedical device and biomedical product companies. This program also transfers to the Biomedical Technology Associate in Science degree program. Successful graduates may work in manufacturing, product development, testing or other areas depending upon previous education and experience.

Quality Systems for Biomedical Industry - Certificate (20 credits)
This certificate program will prepare you to meet the critical, industry-specific educational needs in quality assurance and present the regulatory and quality standards that are required for the medical device industry. Classes include specific biomedical coursework in medical device design and manufacturing, regulatory environmental risk, and management for medical devices. Successful graduates will work in quality assurance and compliance, manufacturing and production.
Documentation/Configuration Management for Biomedical Industry - Certificate (18 Credits)
This certificate program prepares you to work in positions involved with documentation/configuration management within the biomedical device and products industry. Classes include specific biomedical coursework in storing, managing and retrieving medical device documentation. Successful graduates will work in developing and managing documentation and configuration.
Want to maintain, diagnose and repair medical equipment? With a collaboration with Anoka Technical College, a student can now troubleshoot and repair the equipment used in hospitals, imaging centers and medical device companies.
