For the fourth consecutive season, the Anoka-Ramsey Community College Golden Rams Women’s Basketball team has won the Region XIIIA Championship. The team will advance to the national tournament in Rochester, Minn. March 14, 15 and 16.
To secure their spot in the national tournament, the Golden Rams defeated Minnesota West Community and Technical College March 3 with a score of 78-68. Anoka-Ramsey is 22-6 and ended the season ranked fifth in the nation.
Last year the women’s team finished third in the national tournament.
The upcoming trip to nationals will be their 13th in the past 20 years.
