All for Art Exhibit Winners
- First place and the $100 prize went to Kari Ann Gibbons, "Untitled."
- Second Place and the $50 prize went to Laura Vitzthum, "Cupcake Shuffle."
- Third Place and the $25 prize went to Anna Petersen, "Natural Patterns."
Honorable mentions included: Stephanie Holm, "Face Portrait;" Matthew R. Infinity, "Escapade;" Nancy Johnson, "Black Deco Vase;" Kevin Landsverk, "Untitled;" Mayu Nagaoka, "Untitled I;" and Trace Weinmann, "Cow."
Colleen Sheehy, Director of Education at the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum in Minneapolis juried the show and selected the winning pieces.
Sponsored by the college Art Department and supported by the Blaine Arts Council, the exhibit includes photography, paintings, drawings, watercolors, glass and ceramics. The exhibit remain on display and available to the public during regular business hours at Blaine City Hall through Feb. 29.
Students in the exhibit are pursuing Anoka-Ramsey's AFA degree program, initiated three years ago to prepare up-and-coming artists for professional success. In addition to a challenging curriculum of art courses, the college's Art Department promotes the idea of exhibitions as being an important ingredient for creating a professional artist.
