Anoka-Ramsey Soccer Teams Heading to Nationals, Districts

October 23, 2012

After Region XIII Championship Tournament games in Bismarck, N.D., Oct. 20-21, the Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women’s Soccer team is advancing to the National Championship, while the men’s team has only a district game standing in its way.

In a first for the Anoka-Ramsey Community College Golden Rams Women’s Soccer program, the team won the Region XIII Championship. The team’s 1-0 win over Rochester Community and Technical College qualifies them for the National Tournament, Nov. 6-11, 2012, in Dryden, N.Y.

For the fourth consecutive year, the Golden Rams Men’s Soccer team has won the Region XIII Championship, this year with a 2-0 win over Century College. The team now advances to the District Championship game, Saturday, Oct. 27 in Chicago. If the men’s team wins the District Championship game, they too will advance to the National Tournament in Herkimer, N.Y.
