College Brings Tartuffe to Stage Nov. 8-16

October 18, 2013

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Theater Department’s production of Moliere’s comedy Tartuffe  will hit the stage at the Coon Rapids Campus Performing Art Center Nov. 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16 at 7:30 p.m.

“We invite everyone in the community to attend for an evening of laughs and gasps in this Anoka-Ramsey Theatre Department production,” said Theatre faculty member and production director, Blayn Lemke.

Tartuffe  is a comedy of extraordinary wit and non-stop action. The Anoka-Ramsey production embraces the fun-loving atmosphere of French comedy. Tartuffe is an imposter and hypocrite, who insinuates himself into the heart and soul of the wealthy French family. While acting as religious guide to the family, Tartuffe attempts to marry the daughter, seduce the wife, have the son disinherited and obtain a deed to the property.

Seating limited so early reservations are recommended.

Tickets are $8 in advance at the college bookstore, online at (Buy Tickets Now ), or at the door an hour prior to the performance. Please reserve your spot for the interpreted performance by Nov. 1.
