Las Hermanas Padilla
April 19, 20, 25, 26 & 27; 7:30 p.m.
Follows the story of ten sisters-in-law in a remote area of Mexico. Each sister is affected by the anxiety and helplessness of a nameless war that their husbands are fighting in. While each woman is unique in her view of life, each sister shares in the common experience of waiting for her husband to return home from war or for the names of the fallen to be delivered by carrier pigeon. The sisters create a life together as they unite and embrace the family left to survive in a world colored by the threat of war’s consequences.
