Writing Services - Cambridge Campus
Welcome to the Academic Support Center--Writing Services!
College writing can be a daunting task for new and returning college students. To alleviate some of this anxiety and pressure, we provide walk-in tutoring for all Anoka-Ramsey students working on English assignments and other writing projects. Our English/writing tutors will guide you through the writing process and provide helpful resources.
During the academic year, selected English 0890 and English 0950 classes may have a Supplemental Instruction (SI) leader to provide sessions outside regular class time. These voluntary sessions are geared for students seeking additional assistance, clarification, or discussion regarding writing assignments. Please inquire in D208 for additional information about the Supplemental Instruction (SI) program on the Cambridge Campus.

Academic Support Center - Writing Services: Important Information
With any course and assignment, students are advised to first seek input and assistance from their instructors. However, due to an array of circumstances, students may be unable to meet face-to-face with them. This is where the Academic Support Center becomes an essential resource for college students. While our tutors cannot replace your instructors or course requirements, they can provide resources for academic success and assignment completion. For assistance, please visit the Academic Support Center (D 208) located near the Information Desk at the Cambridge Campus of Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
PLEASE NOTE: Outside of regular tutoring hours, Anoka-Ramsey Community College provides online access to SmarThinking. This service is accessible through the D2L (Desire-to-Learn) course navigator. Students are granted 15 free hours of online tutoring per year. After the allotted trial, students have the option to purchase more time or appeal to the campus SmarThinking contact for additional units (subject to availability). Please contact Paul Whiteford at 763.433.1826 with any questions.
