Anoka-Ramsey Community College’s production of “Sweet Land, The Musical” opens Friday, Feb. 14. Performances are scheduled for Feb. 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22 at 7:30 pm at the Coon Rapids Campus Performing Arts Center. Over the past several months, members of the community, alumni, faculty, staff and students have worked alongside mural artist Greta McLain to design a community mural on the Coon Rapids Campus. Now, it’s time to bring the community-led design to life and start painting. All Anoka-Ramsey and Coon Rapids community members are welcome to attend a painting workshop the evening of March 12. On Monday, Feb. 24 at 1 pm, the Anoka-Ramsey Community College Art Committee will unveil a newly commissioned portrait to honor the life of local Civil Rights Activist, Anna Arnold Hedgeman.
