Anoka-Ramsey Community College student athletes named All-Academic performers
June 20, 2018
Recently the Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) recognized the 2017-2018 Winter and Spring Sports outstanding student athletic and academic performers. Included in the list were 13 student basketball, softball, and baseball athletes from Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
“I’m proud of these students and the fact that so many names from Anoka-Ramsey are on this list,” said Dave Alto, Athletics Director at Anoka-Ramsey, “To these students, academics come first, and to be able to balance school, athletics and life is impressive.”
MCAC compiles their selections from among the state’s premiere National Junior College Athletic Associate (NJCAA) Division III rosters including men’s basketball, women’s basketball, wrestling, softball and baseball. Students must meet or exceed the academic standards established by MCAC and NJCAA while actively participating in their chosen sport. The honors are announced bi-annually, with the current All-Conference team boasting more than 215 individuals from member schools.
The Anoka-Ramsey student athletes honored by the MCAC All-Academic Team are as follows:
Carley Anderson: Women’s Basketball
Cassie Benson: Softball
Jake Bloomstrand: Baseball
