Nucleus Clinic and Anoka-Ramsey partner to bring health services to Coon Rapids Campus
November 02, 2016
Nucleus Clinic celebrated 45 years of service on Thursday, Oct. 27 at an open house celebration. The celebration included an announcement of a new partnership with Anoka-Ramsey Community College that will bring the clinic’s services to the college’s Coon Rapids Campus.
The partnership is intended to further the college’s commitment in improving student quality of life. According to a 2013 college student health survey, more than half of Anoka-Ramsey’s male and female students had not received a routine medical exam in the preceding year. The Nucleus Clinic has pledged to provide health care resources to uninsured students and health maintenance resources to students of all economic backgrounds.
“Being able to provide health services on campus to our students will help us achieve our mission to prepare all of our students—as effectively as possible—for a bright future.” said Anoka-Ramsey President Kent Hanson. “It’s partnerships like this that have helped us to be recognized as a Top 10 Community College in the country. “
Beginning in January 2017, the Nucleus Clinic will provide sexually transmitted disease and infection testing and treatment, and family planning services to the public and the Anoka-Ramsey community on the Anoka-Ramsey Coon Rapids Campus.
For more information about the services provided, contact the Nucleus Clinic at 763-755-5300.
