Official Policy: Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy 2C.1

  • A student failing to meet the minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.0 and/or completion rate of 66.67% is immediately placed on warning. A student on warning remains eligible to enroll and receive financial aid. No appeal is necessary for this status. If at the end of the semester the student has met both the GPA and completion rate standards, the warning status will end.

  • You will be placed on suspension status if, while on warning status, you fail to meet the cumulative GPA standard of a 2.0 and/or the completion requirement of 66.67% the next semester. You may appeal your suspension by completing a suspension appeal form

    • A student on suspension is not eligible to register for courses or receive financial aid.
    • In order to be able to eligible to register and receive financial aid the student must have an extenuating circumstance and successfully appeal the suspension.
    • Paying out-of-pocket or sitting out a period of time are not sufficient to re-establish eligibility.

  • You will be placed on probation status after you have completed a successful appeal process.

If you have met both the cumulative GPA requirement of a 2.0 and the completion rate requirement of 66.67%, the probation status will end.

If you have not met the cumulative completion requirements (2.0 GPA and 66.67% completion rate), but have met the semester completion requirements (2.5 GPA and 100% completion rate), you will remain in probationary status for another semester.

If you not have met the cumulative or semester completion requirements you will be re-suspended.
