Campus Highlights

Small Campus. Big Possibilities.

  1. Academic Environment: Learning that Fits Your Life

This is a place where a fresh start is welcomed—and where your next chapter is fully supported. Academics are built around accessibility and personal connection. With no required GPA or placement test for admission, this open‑access campus is an ideal place to begin—or restart—your college journey.

Cambridge Campus students can complete coursework for high‑demand fields such as Nursing and Pharmacy Technician, as well as many transfer and online programs. Students also have access to additional classes, resources, and programs at Anoka‑Ramsey’s Coon Rapids Campus, expanding opportunities while staying rooted close to home.

The campus features state‑of‑the‑art chemistry lab, nursing simulation labs and art lab, ensuring students gain practical, real‑world skills in supportive, well‑equipped spaces.
  2. Student Support Services: Personalized

Success at Cambridge is built on meaningful, one‑on‑one support. Students have access to a full range of services designed to support both academic progress and personal well‑being. From your first questions to graduation day, you’ll find people who are invested in your success and ready to help you navigate college with confidence.

  3. Student Life on Campus: You Belong Here

The Cambridge Campus is a place where relationships grow easily and students find genuine connection. With a smaller campus environment, it’s easy to get involved, make friends and feel part of something meaningful.

Getting involved on campus is a way to make the most out of your college experience outside of the classroom. There are plenty of options available to explore your current interestes, try something new, and meet new people.
  4. A Cultural and Community Hub: Learning Connected to Place

More than a campus, Cambridge serves as a cultural and civic hub for the region. Students learn and gather in outdoor classroom spaces, along the Spirit River Nature Trail, among restored wildflower fields and near the campus solar array—bringing sustainability and learning together in a meaningful way. These experiences connect students with the broader community and reflect the campus’s role as a gathering place for learning, creativity and civic engagement.

The campus proudly hosts community‑focused events such as:

    • Candlelight Ski
    • Science and Art Night
    • Scholardazzle Foundation Fundraiser
  5. Campus History: Growing with the Community Since 1978

The Cambridge Campus has a long history of serving East‑Central Minnesota. It opened in 1978 as the East Central Community College Service Center, originally housed in a wing of Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Construction on a permanent site began in 1981. The former Cambridge Campus Instruction Services building was constructed by Cambridge Development Corporation and leased to the state of Minnesota. The name officially changed to Cambridge Center–Anoka‑Ramsey Community College in 1983.

In 1996, the first portion of the current facility opened with the support of an $8.5 million state appropriation, adding vital academic and student service spaces. Continued advocacy by local legislators, community members, employees, and students led to a 34,000‑square‑foot addition in 2007.

Cambridge Campus spans 121,362 square feet, standing as a testament to community partnership, growth, and a shared commitment to education.

The faculty were so supportive, not just in the Nursing program but even when I was doing my generals. If you are nervous at all about whether or not you're going to succeed, I believe that you're surrounded by people who want to see you succeed.
