Warren MacKenzie (1924-2018) was an American potter known for simple yet elegant,
functional pottery and unwavering commitment to making affordable pottery for domestic
use. His work has shown worldwide. Warren also served as an educator at the University
of Minnesota. He has always been eager to share his knowledge and promote the practice
of both using and making pottery.
Anoka-Ramsey received a generous collection of work from MacKenzie. The gift from
Bill and Horty Shieber, was made for the enjoyment and educational benefit of students
and the public.
