Two Rivers Reading Series presents Anton Treuer Oct. 21

Anoka-Ramsey Community College’s Two Rivers Reading Series welcomes author Anton Treuer for a reading and interview on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 1 p.m. in the Legacy Room on the Rapids Campus. Anoka-Ramsey English Faculty Jamie Randall will interview Treuer about his writing and his award-winning book Where Wolves Don’t Die.

The event is free, open to the public, and will be followed by a book signing. 

Anton Treuer is an Ojibwe author, professor, and public speaker whose work focuses on Indigenous language revitalization,education, and cultural understanding. A descendant of the Leech Lake and White Earth Bands of Ojibwe, he has dedicated his career to sharing knowledge rooted in lived experience, scholarship, and community engagement. Two Rivers Reading Series has been bringing acclaimed, award-winning authors, poets, and playwrights to Anoka-Ramsey each semester for more than 25 years. TRRS events strive to make learning more comprehensive by combining classwork with real-world experiences, as students study the authors’ work in their English courses.
